Trading Specialist – Fluxsmart.ai Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid)
Position Summary
Fluxsmart.ai is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Experienced Trader to join our Technical and Trading Department. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of energy markets and a proven track record in trading, data analysis, and decision-making under market dynamics. This role involves direct responsibility for executing trades, managing physical notifications on energy markets, preparing offers, and monitoring trading performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute transactions on Intraday and Day-Ahead (PZU) energy markets.
- Prepare and submit trading offers on energy exchanges (e.g., OPCOM).
- Monitor short- and medium-term energy market trends, including balancing market performance and production forecasts.
- Ensure the accuracy of trading documentation and physical notifications.
- Collaborate with the Technical Director for organizing project receptions and verifying site data.
- Maintain daily and monthly transaction records and performance reports.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to ensure optimal trading strategies.
- Support back-office operations related to trading activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable trading regulations, company policies, and internal procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in energy trading or energy market operations.
- Strong understanding of Romanian and European energy market structures, including OPCOM.
- Proficient in trading platforms and market monitoring tools.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to data integrity and confidentiality.
- Romanian language proficiency; English is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with energy forecasting and strategy development.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies and compliance reporting.
- Experience in coordinating multi-departmental projects and external collaborations (auditors, consultants).
