About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Energy Trading Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in power and energy markets and is ideal for someone interested in building a career in energy trading, market analysis, or commodity risk management.As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced traders and analysts, supporting the daily operations of our trading desk, helping monitor market trends, and contributing to real-time decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor energy markets and assist in gathering and analyzing real-time price and volume data
- Support the preparation of market reports, position summaries, and P&L tracking
- Assist in scheduling and nominations for power and gas flows (as applicable)
- Help evaluate trading strategies and market conditions using Excel models or internal tools
- Contribute to the improvement of internal dashboards and automation tools
- Participate in daily desk meetings, learning from experienced traders and analysts
- Stay up to date with European market regulations and key events impacting prices
- Perform ad-hoc tasks to support trading, risk management, and back-office operations
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy Management, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Excel (and ideally Python or VBA is a plus)
- Interest in power and energy markets, commodities, or trading
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
